Individuality matters deeply to me because I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of empowering people to take up space. I know how joyful and freeing it is to be around someone who gives you room to be your full self without judgment, correction, or pressure to become more palatable.
That same freedom sits at the center of how I photograph people. Your relationship may be loud and affectionate, quiet and steady, culturally layered, wonderfully weird, or impossible to summarize in one neat sentence. I want to understand the details that make it yours and let those details shine through your photos.
I also believe meaningful photography should serve real people. My work is built around equity, accessibility, honest communication, and respect for the individuals, cultures, identities, and families present at every celebration. You deserve to feel seen, supported, and completely free to enjoy yourselves throughout this process…in fact, that’s kinda the whole point!
Apparently, I have a habit of feeling less like a standard vendor and more like a friend with several cameras.
You’ve probably saved inspiration, thought carefully about the feeling of your celebration, and wondered whether you’re supposed to know how to pose. You may have even warned each other that you’re “awkward in photos” or “not picture people” as at least fifty percent of my couples do!
But listen, you don’t need to arrive with camera skills or a list of rehearsed interactions–in fact, that’s the opposite of what we stand for over here. I take time to learn how you connect, what makes you laugh, and how much direction feels helpful. That understanding lets me guide you naturally while leaving plenty of room for the joyful, weird, tender, wonderfully unplanned moments to take place.
My couples tend to care about the details because they want the day to flow well once it arrives. They’re intentional, collaborative, and excited to build a vendor team they can genuinely trust. I’ll help you think through lighting, timing, family photographs, locations, and the pieces you didn’t realize would affect your gallery. When the wedding arrives, you’ll be able to focus on each other while I photograph the joy, tenderness, and little background moments that you already can’t wait to relive.
