Glacier National Park Engagement

I’ve known Mikaela my entire life. Being asked to capture such an important moment in her life was an absolute honor. This was actually the first set of engagement photos I had ever done.  I wanted to make sure that the series fully encompassed the two of them. As individuals, they are both free loving, adventurous, outdoorsy explorers. Somehow in this big world they found each other and from then on have been hell bent on wandering it together. Their next adventure is never far off the horizon and I wanted this series to be just that, another adventure. We found our way to Glacier National Park and spent the day venturing through the forest. I was complete taken aback by the continually evolving landscapes. There will snow-covered cliff faces that slowly faded into widespread plans. Crystal clear lakes with vibrant rock basins and winding roads that disappeared into ominous layers of echoing trees. With amazing backdrops anywhere you looked we jumped from one spot to another as the hourly quickly passed. The day was gone before you knew it and the memory cards were full. In the end the dog was exhausted, the humans were happy and I had learned some facts about bears. It was a very long and very successful weekend on the road and under the stars. I wouldn’t change a thing about it and I look forward to my next opportunity to explore the park more.  Thank you and congratulations to two wonderful wanderers. May you next adventure never be too far away.
